How will it make you feel

Recalling happy events is known to increase resilience and feelings of optimism.

Step 1: Take some time to find an object in the landscape that triggers a happy memory for you.     

It could be a rock, people, the shape of the clouds or something in the view. Or your happy memory could be triggered by a sound, smell or a feeling like the sun on your skin.  Don’t try too hard just look around and see what grabs your attention.

Step 2:  How does your object remind you of that memory?  Now spend a minute savouring the memory,  don’t just remember it, relive it with all your senses.

Step 3: Give gratitude for that experience and the many more happy experiences still to come.
